"Radio"

In October 2003, a motion picture hit theaters across America. Starring Cuba Gooding Jr, Ed Harris, and Debra Winger, it was a story based on James "Radio" Kennedy, of Anderson, SC. For several weeks it was the third highest grossing movie in the nation, and once it hit DVD sales, it became number one. If you haven't seen the movie, rent it or buy it, you'll better appreciate these pictures. These photographs and several others were featured on an ESPN special in early 2004.

One week after the premier of the movie, Radio holds a photo taken at opening night. It is not a picture of him and one of the stars, but him and a teacher, whom he'd asked to escort him.
