Bruce Springsteen and Steve Van Zandt (his guitarist, actor, radio host) made an appearance on late night television last night.  I had an opportunity to photograph Steve at a show in NY. He came to see Eric Carmen and the Raspberries (I was their tour photographer). I knew Bruce was a big fan, often mentioning them at his shows. Apprently Steve is a fan too. I photographed him with the band backstage after the show.  Not long after that Bruce (also a photographer!) wrote the liner notes for the Raspberries live album. I did the photographs.

We’ve been notified our our images being judged and accepted as part of the process to obtain the Professional Photographers of America coveted award of Certified Professional Photographer. The next step is for the written test. The certification, I think, shows a photographer cares about education, shooting well, staying current, and rising above their peers. Shortly we will be one of a handful with this designation in the state of SC.
